A wacky show with 150 costumes, 22 actors, King Arthur, Sir Lancelot, and Lady of the Lake. A chorus full of sequins, beads, feathers and medieval knights in tabards.
Mr Cauliflower will be at home
A comedic operetta set in Victorian times. Vibrantly colored dresses and tailored men’s wear.
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
A quirky modern comedy, this play showcases an beaded evening gown that I altered for a petite actress.
The Addams Family
James and the Giant Peach
James and the Giant Peach was a fun show to design. The director wanted a homespun, childlike, exaggerated feel to the production so there was lots of scope for imaginative work and colorful unusual costumes.
Eurydice
A steampunk version of the Greek myth. A fun design, my favorite characters were the Greek chorus, the stones. Their grey toned steampunk costumes were unique and gave a lot of scope for imaginative creation.
The Cherry Orchard
Set in 1900 Russia the Cherry Orchard costumes were a mix of traditional Russian folk patterns and European fashions of the period. I used mainly natural fibers and utilized appliqués and embroidery in the design.
Dracula
Dracula, the classic story on stage. My design for this was very dark and gothic and featured a number of custom built pieces. A rollicking comedy, Sense and Sensibility had a small cast and multiple roles per actor. There color scheme helped delineate characters as the actors rotated through different roles.
