Jenny’s dress was a strapless silk 50’s inspired creation. She got it on a great sale and was super excited. But also nervous because it was a heavy dress and she didn’t want to have to keep pulling it up!

I did a bust alteration to snug it up but we also decided to add a interior corset to really be sure of no slippage. This is a great technique that I have used on dresses for myself and it makes a truly handsfree strapless dress.

I also did a bust alteration for Jenny’s daughter who was bridesmaid. It was a church wedding and it was decided that the dress also needed to be longer. I came up with this lace and ribbon idea which complemented the color scheme and looked lovely with Jenny’s dress.

The Mother of the Bride also needed some alterations to her dress. I did a hem for her and then added some of the cut off fabric on the top for a little more modesty.
